Summer is on it's way!!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather yesterday, Emily woke up from her nap and couldn't wait to get into her swimming suit and splash in the pool and run through the sprinkler. Jake was happy to join in the fun after he woke up too! :)

This smile makes us wonder what Jake's got in mind. He has been becoming increasingly onery, especially when it comes to playing and teasing Emily.

Running together makes sprinkler play such fun! The picture "almost" captures the silly squeals and giggles as they ran through.

Jake trying the sprinkler on his own!

Playing with water always makes me thirsty too!! This is one way to solve that problem. How long until this becomes a chance to spray one another...

Watching Levi Schrag

We've been given a special opportunity this month, Ben & Tina's son Levi is going to stay with us during the afternoons through May. His daycare provider just had a baby and Tina thought two little ones would be too much. She asked us to watch him on days that we have free. I have really enjoyed getting to spend more time with Levi. The kids have loved getting to help and show Levi around our house.

Emily is such a big help. Taking Levi's bottle to the fridge, bringing him books, talking with Levi while I put Jake to sleep! She will be a great mommy someday!

Jake knows how important a "night-night" is and wants to help Levi with his whenever Levi spits it out.

Jake is trying to take a picture of Levi as I take a picture of the two friends.

Cool Dudes!!

Word to your Mother!!

Me and my girl

Emily and I took our Sunday afternoon nap together this week. After tucking his girls in, Pat took a picture of us snuggled together! Emily is getting to be such a fun friend.

Dressing Up

We had some college friends, Todd & Krisha Zerger, over for supper and to play. Their daughter, Ava, had fun dressing up with Emily. Ava hadn't ever played dress up before, so Emily was excited to show her the joys of being a princess!

Planting seeds

Emily and Jake helped me plant some cucumber and tomato seeds. My first graders had such fun watching our seeds grow at school, I thought I'd see how the kids enjoyed it at home, so far we haven't seen any sprouts, we're still watching!! :)
